What this site is

txhvaccontractors.com is an independent directory of air conditioning and heating contractors licensed by the State of Texas, for Texas outside the Houston and Dallas–Fort Worth metropolitan areas. It also shows a phone number that connects a caller with an independent HVAC provider. The site performs no work, employs no crews and speaks for no contractor.

The site is published by an independent operator, reachable at contact@txhvaccontractors.com. Corrections, removal requests and complaints all go to that address.

Where the listings come from

Listings are a copy of public licensing records published by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) on the Texas Open Data Portal: business name, licence number, class, endorsement, expiration date and business county. Each listing shows the date on which the record was checked. The state registry is the reference: if it differs from this site, the registry is right.

A listing is not a recommendation, a ranking or a review. The contractors listed are not partners of this site, did not ask to appear and do not pay to appear. A licence that was current on the date shown can lapse, be suspended or be revoked afterwards.

Your responsibility when hiring

Any contract for work is between you and the contractor you choose. Before signing, check the licence with TDLR and ask the contractor for proof of the insurance required for the job. This site does not supervise any contractor's work or prices and makes no promise about the work performed.

The phone number on this site

When a phone number is displayed, it is a tracking number. It does not reach the contractors listed in the directory. It routes the call to an independent HVAC provider from a referral network, and the publisher may be paid when a call is connected. How a call is handled is described on the Privacy page.

Corrections and removals

If a listing concerns you, write to contact@txhvaccontractors.com with the licence number. Listings are corrected or removed by hand. Changes to the licence record itself are made with TDLR.

Licensing rules change: confirm anything that matters with TDLR or with the contractor doing the work. People shown in photographs are models or stock subjects, not contractors listed here.
